Len is also widely regarded as one of the country’s finest speakers on Robert Burns and his Immortal Memory has been described as “legendary”. He has spoken at over 300 Burns Suppers throughout the world, from Edmonton and Calgary in the West to Singapore in the East and many places in between. He is a member of the Burns Federation and is Honorary President of Greenock Burns Club, the oldest Burns Club in the world.
In a very distinguished Burns career, he includes being asked by the Robert Burns World Wide Federation to propose the Immortal Memory at their International Conference. In addition, in January 2009 the Scottish Parliament held its first ever Burns Supper with various dignitaries from all over the World attending and Len was chosen by the Presiding Officer to propose the Immortal Memory at that historic event.
